1. Industrial Negotiations are ongoing. As of September 3, 2010 some of the trades are starting to settle and we are looking to have a new proposal set for ratification vote shortly. Please watch your mailbox in the next couple weeks for the dates and times of the vote.
2. Jonn Akister attended and won the Canadian Competition. This is the first time in the 35 year history of the competition that a Local 296 representative has won. Congratulation to Jonn Akister and to his teachers.
3. The Draw for the BBQ from the list of all members who attended the Area Meetings from January to May 2010 was drawn at the June 2010 Regina Area Meeting. Congratulations to Bert Ottenson. The next draw from the list of all members who attend June 2010 to December 2010 area meetings will be held at the Regina Area Meeting in December 2010. |
